Criminal Harassment Understanding Criminal Harassment
Criminal harassment (often called stalking) is a pattern of unwanted, threatening, or obsessive behaviour that causes someone to fear for their safety. It can involve:
- Repeated phone calls, texts, or messages
- Following someone or showing up uninvited
- Watching someone’s home or workplace
- Threatening behaviour, directly or indirectly
This crime can occur in relationships, after breakups, in the workplace, or between strangers. It’s about power, control, and intimidation—not just persistence.
